About Kolja Schallenberg
A Life Dedicated to Theatre
As an award-winning director, playwright, and producer, I combine hands-on academic training with over 20 years of practical experience.
As the only director worldwide to have both studied and worked across the full spectrum of artistic disciplines including opera, theatre, musicals, and contemporary circus, I am passionate about creating high-quality, extraordinary live events. I also work in areas such as immersive theatre, concerts, and interdisciplinary productions.
Born in 1984, I often draw inspiration from my cultural and social experiences, having grown up between Germany and Sweden, lived in London, and been fortunate to travel extensively around the world.
